Everyday we talk to our friends and family about who is and isn't a slut but I don't think many of us think about 'what is a slut?' Most of the time 'slut' is used to describe women we hate. Men brand women as sluts when they find out about a long sexual history.
Leaving that aside as young ladies we need to know who we have to defend our men from. The dictionary describes 'slut' as a
1. Dirty slovenly woman.
2. An immoral or dissolute woman; prostitute. (online dictionary, 2010)
As seen above the dictionary definition is very HARSH but needs to be acknowledged to understand that being branded a slut is undesirable and should be avoided at all costs.
Please exercise caution with this word as it can get a young lady into a lot of hot water with her friends.
